• The Society

Shri Jug Mahadev Education Society (SJMES), Durg is established in the year 1997 vide Registration No. 4338. The society is committed to give high quality education with better prospects. Society has the earlier track record of education in Computer Science last year society has started has started two courses i.e. B. Sc. (Biotechnology), B.Ed., At present society is running four colleges and in future the SJMES is planning to start the courses like M. Sc. (Agriculture), M.B.A. (Agri, Business), B. Sc. Nursing etc.

• The College

The new developing college campus is situated at Pulgaon Chowk, Padmanabhpur Road, Durg. It has eco friendly environment and free from city noise. The College has 110 Acres of land in which 30 Acres are with in campus which facilities the students to carry out field practical. The constructed area is about 65, 000 Sq. Ft. College has a separate Dairy Unit for dairy related practical. The college has further extension plan for M. Sc. (Agri) programme and to start Krishi Vigyan Evam Anusandhan Kendra.

Indira Gandhi Agricultural University (IGAU), Raipur came into existence as the 26th state Agricultural University (SAU) of India on 20th January 1987 which was separated from Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur (M.P.) The Chhattisgarh state came into existence on 1st November, 2000 and all the 16 districts of Chhattisgarh came under the jurisdiction of IGAU.
